Milford House
This Dwelling in the rural countryside respects the concept of a contemporary Dwelling whilst taking into account traditional rural building forms. The overall massing is broken up into two main elements and reflects how traditional farm houses evolved. Outdoor spaces have been carefully considered so that the internal spaces are suitably connected to the outdoors enjoying the surrounding countryside.
Traditional details in combination with modern detailing will elevate these traditional forms to produce a contemporary approach to overall design.
The shape and form is L-shaped with single room deep design to allow the light to penetrate into the dwelling. The house is designed taking into account Cork Co. Council’s “Cork Rural Design Guide - Building a New House in the Countryside”.
